Hello Parents,
I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend. I wanted to send some quick tips and suggestions regarding the math homework. Some students have mentioned that they get stuck on problems when working them out at home. There are many resources available to help guide them through their work: 1. Math Notes - The students take daily notes on each new concept. The notes included step-by-step instructions on how to solve problems. Your child should check their notes first to revisit an example. 2. Go Math Resource Website (Thinkcentral) - Your child's username and password can be found on the inside front cover of their Ranger Binders. The website can be found at: https://www-k6.thinkcentral.com/ePC/index.do There are tons of resources available for each lesson, including videos and step-by-step instructions. 3. Youtube tutorials - Many math tutorials are available on Youtube. Simply search the lesson title. I would recommend helping with narrowing down a video for quality, etc. Kahn Academy offers helpful and free resources on Youtube. 4. Math Homwork - I always ask that my students show their work (if applicable). Often times questions are missed and I am not able to see the thought process behind it. Showing work will cause the students to slow down and double check. Thank you parents. Please feel free to email me regarding any questions. Have a wonderful day! Hello Parents,
